Anyone with an interest in running or jogging will have wanted to have run the London Marathon. Founded by athlete John Disley and former Olympic champion Chris Brasher, it was originally started in 1981, and has been held every spring since. Although the route has altered over the years, the distance has remained at 26 miles and 385 yards - certainly something which requires a little training... While Spring hasn’t quite got into full swing yet, the sun keeps threatening to come out and last weekend it really was pushing for it. So what better opportunity to dig out my Rollerblades and hit the streets for a breath of fresh air. I’ve never been a big fan of jogging (my poor knees just aren’t up to it these days) but I do get a lot of satisfaction from sticking on my skates and zooming around town - especially with a pair of headphones blasting out my favourite tunes. The Arcade Era

Whilst visiting my hometown in the UK two weeks ago, I walked past what used to be the old games hall - a glorious building once chock-a-block with arcade and pinball machines. The flashing lights would entice you in and once inside you’d be spoilt for choice as to where to spend your hand-earned pocket money. The likes of Street Fighter II, NBA Jam, Mortal Kombat and Terminator 2 were all firm favourites. Then you had the classics such as Pac-Man, Donkey Kong and Space Invaders.
